Activities for virtual students at home

Parents must submit photo evidence of all completed activities on Seesaw or to my email: MrTaraza@olqmnyc.org

The Giving Tree Paper Plate Craft (Monday & Tuesday)


Materials:

 

-Paper Plate

-Green Paint

-Brown Construction Paper for tree trunk or white paper if you don't have and color it brown.

 

Ask children what can you give? (e.g., hugs, love, cards, friendship, food, clothes, toys, kisses.)

 

Write down thier response.

 

● Goal P-PMP 3. Child demonstrates increasing control, strength, and coordination of small muscles.

 

● Goal P-LC 2. Child understands and responds to increasingly complex communication and language from others.


Crayola Model Magic or Playdough for Virtual Learners - A fine motor and literacy activity - (Wednesday)


Children will roll and squeeze model magic with fingers to craft pet snails. Model for children and let them go their own direction if they chose to.

 

Talk with children as they are working. Ask them, "What are you making?" "What colors are you using?"

 

● Goal P-PMP 3. Child demonstrates increasing control, strength, and coordination of small muscles.

Writing and Tracing Our Names (Thursday & Friday)


Children will practice writing the letters of their name.

 

Materials:


Pencil/Marker/Crayon/Color Pencil/Chalk

 

● Goal P-LIT 6. Child writes for a variety of purposes using increasingly sophisticated marks

 

● Goal P-PMP 3. Child demonstrates increasing control, strength, and coordination of small muscles.
