Activities for virtual students at home

Writing and Tracing Our Names (Monday & Tuesday)


Children will practice writing the letters of their name.

 

Materials:


Pencil/Marker/Crayon/Color Pencil

 

● Goal P-LIT 6. Child writes for a variety of purposes using increasingly sophisticated marks

 

● Goal P-PMP 3. Child demonstrates increasing control, strength, and coordination of small muscles.


Five Little Ducks (Wednesday)

1. Sing the Five Little Ducks With Your Child

2. Count all the ducks at the start of each verse

3. Cover a duck and have your child count the new total until there are none left as you sing


● Goal P-MATH 2. Child recognizes the number of objects in a small set.

 

● Goal P-MATH 3. Child understands the relationship between numbers and quantities

 

● Goal P-MATH 6. Child understands addition as adding to and understands subtraction as taking away from.



Tissue Paper Flower Stick (Thursday & Friday)



Children will be working on fine motor skills (folding and pressing paper, and folding and twisting wire) to make a mothers day gift for thier parent.

 

Materials:

 

Tissue Paper

Pipe Cleaner or Wire

 

● Goal P-PMP 3. Child demonstrates increasing control, strength, and coordination of small muscles

 

● Goal P-SE 7. Child expresses care and concern toward others.
